Software engineering

We build the applications too, not only what runs them.

Design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance of software, web and mobile applications, APIs, integrations and databases. We also review, refactor and maintain existing systems.

Every deliverable carries a 90-day conformity warranty against its specification and a documented acceptance procedure: five business days to review, a written non-conformity notice if something is wrong, remediation and re-delivery against a fresh review window.

Security work belongs in the delivery process, not only in a final review.

Secure delivery

Dependency and container scanning in the pipeline, secret detection, signed artefacts, least-privilege deployment credentials and reviewed infrastructure changes.

Assessment & hardening

Security assessments and gap analyses of infrastructure, applications and processes; penetration-test coordination; access control, backup and recovery design; and readiness for ISO/IEC 27001 and NIS 2.

Monitoring & response

Event monitoring, vulnerability scanning and log analysis with incident detection, notification and coordinated initial response. Critical 4 hours, major 8 business hours, minor 2 business days, with monthly reporting.

Taking over an existing platform

What the first ninety days look like.

Most platform work starts with systems that already exist and are only partly documented. We treat that as a normal starting point.

  1. Audit

    Infrastructure, pipeline, dependencies, access and cost reviewed against what you believe is true. Output: a written findings report ranked by risk, not by ease.

  2. Stabilise

    Fix active risks such as exposed credentials, missing backups, unreviewed deploy paths and alerting that nobody trusts.

  3. Codify

    Move environments into code, get changes reviewed, and remove the state that only exists in one person's memory.

  4. Instrument

    Observability and alerting that reflect real service behaviour, so the next decision is made from data rather than intuition.

  5. Hand over or run

    Train your engineers onto it, or keep running it on a monthly allocation with agreed response targets. Both are on the table; we have no preference.
